-       ANYONE that wishes to tryout for the boys basketball team MUST HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL!!!!  If it is not on file at SFHS or SFMS, you must provide one prior to tryouts.  Anyone without a current physical will not be allowed to try-out!

-       Tryouts will be held on May 21 -23 in the SFHS gym.  Rising 11^th and 12^th graders will tryout from 3:15 – 5:00 each day and rising 9^th and 10^th graders will tryout from 5:00 – 6:30 each day.

-       THESE TRY-OUTS ARE FOR THE SUMMER TEAM ONLY AND DO NOT GUARANTEE A ROSTER SPOT NEXT SEASON!!!

-       Important dates: 

o   We will play games on June 7, 11, 19, 21.

o   We will be OFF the weeks of July 1-5 and July 15-19.  (Try to plan your vacations around these dates if possible)

-  BASKETBALL SUMMER YOUTH CAMP!!!!!

Please click on the 'forms' link and print a copy of the registration form.  You do not need to pre-register.  Bring a friend!  The camp will be June 26-27 from 3:00 - 5:00 in the SFHS Gymnasium.

- The Toro Basketball program will be hosting a golf tournament at Timbercreek on October 14, 2012.  Please click on the forms link for more information.

- The Toro Basketball program is selling chances to win a BIG GREEN EGG grill.  Tickets cost $5 for one or 3 for $10.  Please see or email Coach Powell for your chance to win!

- Congratulations to Jaleel Cousins, Reagan Eubanks, and Danny Rose for being selected to the All-County Basketball Team and to Coach Powell for being selected as Baldwin County Co-Coach of the Year!

- Congratulations to the Toros for winning the first AREA CHAMPIONSHIP in the school's history as well as setting the SCHOOL RECORD (25) for wins in a season.

- Congrats to the Toros for remaining in the TOP 10 in the 1/19/12 ASWA basketball poll!  The Toros were ranked #10 in the state with an 18-5 record!

- Congrats to the Toros for cracking the TOP 10 in the 1/12/12 ASWA basketball poll!  The Toros were ranked #9 in the state!

- Congratulations to the Toros for winning 3rd place in the Baldwin County Tournament.  The Toros beat Fairhope and Foley, both in overtime, and lost to the tournament winner Robertsdale.

- Congratulations to the Toros for winning the consolation bracket at the SanDestin Hilton Beach Blowout in Freeport, FL.  After losing to Crestview, the Toros defeated Bethlehem FL, Glencoe, and White Plains.

- Congratulations to the Toro Basketball Team for claiming the Coca Cola Christmas Tournament Championship hosted by Gulf Shores High School.  The Toros defeated West Florida, Pensacola HS, and Gulf Shores HS to claim the crown.
