The Interact Club at SFHS, sponsored by Rotary International, embodies the organization’s guiding motto, “Service Above Self,” which encourages members to prioritize the needs of others and their communities over personal interests. Open to students ages 14–18, the club offers meaningful opportunities to develop leadership skills through planning and executing service projects.
The focus of the SFHS Interact Club is animal rescue. We volunteer with local shelters and participate in many school activities, such as the homecoming parade, hallway decorations, Trunk-or-Treat, Saturday dog adoption days at local shelters, and we are hoping to add a Mardi Gras parade this year.
Requirements - Each Member engages in at least one initiative to benefit their school or local community, as well as one project aimed at promoting international understanding and goodwill. Students must attend 80% of meetings, pay $15 dues, and purchase a club T-Shirt - $20 By September 10th.
Students will be rewarded by helping others, gain valuable insights into the importance of service, and build lifelong friendships through teamwork and shared purpose.
